A total of nearly 950 build-to-rent homes are now under construction or in the pipeline for the western edge of Leeds city centre.
The latest development to be given approval by the council, Latitude Blue, will provide 485 homes. This joins a neighbouring development currently under construction, Latitude Purple, which will provide 463 homes by 2024. Both developments are in an area that has seen an increase in business activity and includes the new Channel 4 HQ.
Latitude Blue comprises of two residential blocks of 25 and 30 storeys and is 10 minutes’ walk from Leeds Railway station.
Victoria Manston, senior development manager for the developer HUB, said: “We are thrilled that Leeds City Council has approved our plans for Latitude Blue, which are the result of close collaboration with the local community.”
“We hope to start on site later this year and look forward to delivering a scheme that contributes positively to the local area, as well as providing a fantastic place to live.”
“HUB and Bridges have a strong track record of delivering beautifully-designed homes in the UK’s best locations, and we are excited to bring this experience to our second scheme in Leeds.”
