Former LPA speaker and head of Landlord Action, Paul Shamplina, predicts the Rental Reform White Paper will be delayed until October 2022.
Shamplina, is well placed to make such predictions as he is regularly involved in discussions with the government on the regulation of the private rented sector.
The possible delay in the White Paper is one of many subjects discussed in a 9 minute video interview with Landlord Today (see below). In the video Shamplina shares his insights on:
- Timeline for introduction of Renters Reform Bill
- Tenant mediation
- Property Redress Scheme
- Lifetime deposits
- Future EPC requirements
- Landlords exiting the rental market.
- Demand in rental market
- Rent controls
